A Baby Soap with Nothing to Hide

by jenny

Little Miles Baby Soap bars shaped like farm animals, with honey and oats

when our grandson miles was on the way, we knew we wanted a soap for him where we knew every single ingredient. no guessing, no mystery list on the back of a bottle. so i made one.

it's called little miles baby soap, because that's exactly who it was made for.

What's in it

the recipe is simple on purpose. olive oil makes up most of the bar, and it's a natural source of vitamin e. coconut oil brings the cleansing power and the lather. shea butter helps leave skin feeling soft. whole goat milk, which naturally has vitamin a in it, makes every wash creamy. then finely ground colloidal oatmeal for its soothing qualities, and a little local honey to round it out.

and the lye in the recipe is what turns those oils into soap in the first place. by the time a bar is cured and ready, there's no lye left in it. it's just soap.

What's not in it

no fragrance. no essential oils. nothing extra at all. just a simple bar made with little ones in mind.

Not just for babies

turns out babies aren't the only ones with picky skin. kids and grownups with sensitive skin use it too, anybody who wants a gentle bar without the extras.

How to use it

just like regular soap. lather up, wash, rinse.

one honest note though. keep the suds away from little eyes. this bar is not tear-free, and i'd rather tell you that up front than have you find out at bath time.

every little one deserves a bath you don't have to think twice about.

Little Miles Baby Soap $9 each or 3 for $25
